Hoisting the entrepreneurial spirits among Robotics enthusiasts and Make
The inaugural meetup of the Robotics and Makers Club at Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub was organized on August 16, 2023. This meetup served as a forum for brilliant minds and enthusiastic entrepreneurs eager to investigate the emerging areas of robotics, innovation, and the potential of turning ideas into reality.
1. Design Studio and FabLab Introduction
The FabLab and Design Studio present within the premises of Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub is headed by Kovalan, Senior Manager at iTNT Hub. Kovalan gave a brief introduction about his vast experience in design, analysis, and manufacturing domain. He also briefed the audience about the need and idea of setting up FabLab and Design Studio with facilities such as 3D Printers, CAD workstations, etc
In addition, the meetup featured the founders of two exceptional robotics ventures, AtumX and Yagen Robotics, who discussed their startup journeys and the products they are developing.
2. AtumX
Akash, Founder of AtumX shared his inspiring story of building HEKA, a personal robotic companion for kids. He explained his journey of becoming an entrepreneur and identifying one small pain point that led to building robots. His entrepreneurial journey revealed the importance of adaptability and persistence in the ever-evolving startup world.
3. Yagen Robotics
Lena Sekar, Founder and CEO, Yagen Robotics shared their path of innovation, where technology meets social impact. They design and manufacture robots completely built in India and provide end-to-end solutions. Their story of bridging the gap in robotics education and huge untapped market, led to setting up robotics lab in schools and colleges, educating the next generation about robotics.
The Robotics and Makers Club Meetup at the Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub was a great success. As the FabLab and Design Studio takes its first step towards empowering entrepreneurs, the meetup demonstrated the community-wide interest for innovation and collaboration.
