The Innovation Challenge

Advanced
Manufacturing

Design & Develop Next-generation showerhead architectures that:

  • Precisely control gas distribution and residence time

  • Co-optimize with chamber geometry

  • Align with heater–susceptor thermal profiles

Target Outcomes

  • Predictable deposition rates

  • Wafer-to-wafer & run-to-run uniformity

  • Low-defect, lattice-engineered thin films

Why This Challenge Matters

The Core Industry Problem

Film non-uniformity and run-to-run variability persist

Empirical tuning of recipes masks hardware limitations

Crystalline defects originate from poorly controlled boundary conditions

Rules & Guidelines

Eligibility

Open to participants registered / based out of Tamil Nadu only. Participants must meet the eligibility requirements of the Bosch Innovation Challenge. Any team failing to comply will be subject to disqualification.

Team Leader

Each team must nominate a founder, co-founder, researcher lead, or designated representative as the primary point of contact. This nomination is final and cannot be changed after submission.

Registration Information

Teams must provide accurate and active email addresses and contact numbers for effective communication throughout the challenge.

Documentation

Participants must maintain detailed documentation of their solution development, methodology, and technical components for evaluation and audit purposes.

Compliance with Rules

Teams must adhere to all challenge rules, timelines, and guidelines. Any breach will result in immediate disqualification and termination of participation.

Support Services

Selected teams may be offered the opportunity to join incubation, mentorship, or support programs facilitated by iTNT Hub and Bosch. It is optional and subject to separate guidelines.

Selection Process

Selection, funding allocation, and support decisions are based on the evaluation committee’s discretion and are not open to appeal.
